Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum we need to deliver the product, keep your account working, and answer when you email us. We don't sell your data. Ever.
1. What we collect
At purchase:
- Email address (required to deliver your license key and the download links)
- Name and billing address (collected and stored by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy)
- Payment information (handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy and the underlying card networks — we never see or store card numbers)
When you create an account in the web app (optional):
- Email address (for login)
- Saved scenarios — property details and inputs you choose to save
- Login timestamps and device type (for security)
When you opt in to "Connect with a loan officer" inside the app (optional):
- Name, email, phone, preferred contact method and time
- The scenario context you were viewing (state, sale price)
- Your affirmative consent to be contacted by a licensed loan officer
Automatic:
- Anonymous, aggregated analytics (page views, browser type, country-level location) — via a privacy-respecting analytics provider, no personal identifiers attached
2. How we use it
- Deliver the product — license keys, downloads, account access
- Support you — answer your emails, process refunds
- Send weekly digests — only if you opted in; one-click unsubscribe in every email
- Route opt-in lead requests — if you check the "Connect with a loan officer" box, your contact info goes to Terry Kravaris (NMLS 959719) or a partner loan officer for follow-up. We share only what you submitted. You can revoke at any time by emailing us.
- Improve the product — anonymous analytics help us understand what features get used
3. What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else
- We don't share your data with third parties except as described above (payment processor, email vendor, opt-in lead routing)
- We don't run targeted advertising trackers on the site
- We don't use your saved scenarios to train AI models
4. Service providers we share data with
To operate, we use a small set of vendors who process data on our behalf:
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing, license-key generation, sales tax
- Supabase — account hosting and saved-scenario storage
- Resend — transactional and digest email delivery
- Cloudflare — website hosting and DNS
- Plausible Analytics (or equivalent) — privacy-respecting page analytics
Each has its own privacy policy. We've chosen vendors with strong data-protection track records.
5. Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Access the data we have about you — email hi@closingmath.com and we'll send it
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data — one-click in your account settings, or email us
- Export your saved scenarios in JSON or CSV
- Opt out of marketing emails (one-click in every email)
If you're in the EU, UK, California, or other jurisdictions with specific privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), those rights apply to you and we honor them.
6. Children
ClosingMath is intended for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
7. Data retention
We keep purchase records as long as required by tax law (typically 7 years). We keep your account and saved scenarios as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete everything except records we're legally required to retain.
8. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS everywhere, encrypted databases at rest). No system is perfect — if we ever experience a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you promptly.
9. Changes
We'll notify you of material changes by email and post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
